Thank you Tim!!
I'm horrible at coding tests, but I have no problem coming up with solutions to problems at work. And the truth is, coding tests don't reflect the work you actually do.
No dev is going through their workday solving 3 well defined ranked problems every hour.
When I graduated I was so sad because I felt like I was sub-par compared to all my peers who could solve challenges easily. I thought maybe I wasn't cut out for this line of work.
But after a few jobs, some personal projects, and talking to seniors in the field, I can confidently say, "I'm a dang good developer!" For every experience I went through, I adapted, learned, communicated, and delievered. Problem solving isn't just about "solving a problem", it's about all the steps you take to get there.
