Not exactly.

The definition OED provides says that race is a classification system that groups people by a **particular variable** (ethnicity, physical characteristics, biology).

None of the variables specified take into account topics argued in CRT. So there's a clear distinction between classification systems and theoretical systems in the OED.

And in CRT, society and culture are factors of race.

Futhermore, if we're going to argue racism on the theoretical level in topics such as microaggression, white privilege, white and black nationalism. Then why is race not defined under the same pre-tense?

Race isn't just a classification system. Just like racism isn't just one race undermining the other. There are layers of complexity that need to be discussed.

I completely understand if the editors of OED were simplifying the definition. My issue is with people who use the definition as their only source of knowledge, when there's so much more to be said.
