Absolutely! Thank you for drawing attention to this matter.

To be an ally means using your privilege to protect the lives that aren’t privileged. It’s listening to the lives that are at risk and understanding what their needs are, and finding ways to elevate their voices, not diminish them.

The many black families who have come out to speak against anti-racism have repeated themselves till they’re blue, they want this to be peaceful. So why have some white individuals taken it upon themselves to do the opposite?

That’s not an alliance, that’s not supporting anti-racism. And this isn’t a movement to be taken advantage of. Opportunistic people looking for something to steal or vandalize, are worse than the racists we’re fighting. They see this movement as a fun outing with their friends, while people are dying on the streets. That’s disgustingly, psychotic behavior!

It’s absolutely imperative we call out those individuals. And not allowed the bad apples to overshadow the hard work of the individuals putting their bodies on the line for black lives.
